I've had a lot of new followers lately, so I thought I'd introduce myself, give you all a run down of the session types I do and tell you about why I do what I do.
My name is Jo and I've been running this little business of mine coming up to three years now. I have 2 beautiful little girls who inspire me everyday to continue my passion for photography.
My other passion is TRAVEL! I love to travel and have been to many beautiful and unique places around the world, met many new friends and shared these travel experiences with friends and family. I find it hard to pick my favourite place! Where's your favourite place to travel to?
WHY do I do what I do? WHY choose photography?
I've had a passion for photography for a long time. Ask any of my friends... my camera has always been in my hand! People just expect it now and have stopped asking if they have to have their photo taken again.
But, WHY am I so passionate about it?
Capturing memories is just so important to me. Time goes so quickly and having photos to look back on the life we've lived is just so precious. Whether it's from a professional photographer, on your smart phone, or back in the days of film.. it doesn't matter... it's all special memories.
All my Grandparents passed away when I was young. Some of them I can only picture what they look like from the photos in my parents house. These photos create conversation about who they were, what they were like, what they did in life.... these photos keep them alive. ❤️❤️❤️
This video is an example of WHY I do what I do. This family has grown with me as much as I've grown with them. 😍 Through the growing of my business and the growing of their beautiful family. We can look back and be reminded of these amazing memories of their children growing and changing. This family you should all know well by now.... you see them a lot in my feed. I'm thankful for you all supporting my little business, but also for letting me be apart of creating these special memories of your beautiful families. 😍😍😍😍
Session Types
I have a variety of session types including; Maternity, Fresh 48, Newborn, Milestone, Cake Smash and Families. One day, when my kids are older, I hope to add Birth Photography to that list!
Maternity
Pregnancy... What an amazing, emotional and rewarding journey it can be!
Pregnancy sessions are usually best between 32-36 weeks, so you're still comfortable to move around, although I'm happy to do them up to when you're due. I know, sometimes we don't think of these things until the last minute!
These can be in my home studio in Mailors Flat or at a location of your choice within 25km of Warrnambool.
Fresh 48
Fresh 48's are an amazing way to capture those first days of your new babe's life. Those first cuddles, little fingers and toes, sibling excitement... you name it!
These are completed while you're still in hospital and usually within the first 48 hours of your little ones life.
Newborn
Newborn Sessions are completed in my home studio in Mailors Flat. These are ideally completed when your baby is around 10-14 days old. However, I often have older babies in my studio up to 8 weeks old, so it's never too late!
I have a variety of props, wraps and accessories to choose from. You can give me an idea of colours you like and let me create something special for you.
Newborn sessions are best booked in as early as possible. I only take a limited number of Newborn sessions each month, to allow for movement in case a baby arrives early.
Milestone
Milestone Sessions are usually completed as 3, 6 or 9 month old sessions in my studio. Really, these can be completed anytime. It's a great excuse to get your child in for some updated photos in their first year of life (or any age really!). These are for one child only. If you were also wanting to have the family included, then a family session would be more suited to your needs.
Cake Smash
It's time to celebrate your little ones First Birthday! Cake Smashes are a great way to have some birthday fun. These sessions start with some portrait images, before moving onto the cake smash.
Family
Family sessions are for immediate family only (Extended family sessions are available at an additional charge). They are designed to capture your whole family taking both a posed and casual approach to the session. These can take place at a location of your choice within 25kms of Warrnambool. On your property, the beach, the gardens, or let me pick a location for you.
*I'm happy to travel further than 25kms, however a travel fee will apply.
