Storing life's precious memories - Warrnambool Baby Photographer

You've had your baby and you take all of these beautiful photos..... and then what?

For me, I tried to keep a record of when "milestones" happened. I had been given 3 baby books as gifts and while they were super cute, they didn't give me the space I needed to write and certainly not enough space for the photos I wanted to put in. AND... the thing that annoyed me the most was that things weren't in order!! I'm such a structured person.

Along with my passion for all things photography and travel, is my passion for scrapbooking. The pic below gives you only a small idea of the albums I have in our wardrobes. It's amazing to look back on the memories we've had. I can pull these off the shelf and show my daughters the "milestones" I had in my pre-children days.

After my first daughter I scrapbooked the best I could. I kept creating beautiful pages of her first months of life.... and then I got behind and it was hard to keep up.

While pregnant with my second child I really wanted to find a way to keep up with these memories and document them in a way that suited me, especially since I didn't have time to scrapbook as I'd like.

Then I found Blueberry Co Memory Books!

OH MY GOSH! I can't recommend to you a better way to record these precious moments of your little one.

What makes it so good?

1. It's designed for you to colour it in to suit your style. (or leave it B&W if you wish)

2. It's a fantastic way to pass the time when you're pregnant by preparing the pages about your family history, your pregnancy, how you met your partner and of course colouring it in.

3. IT'S IN ORDER! You have family history, pregnancy, birth, coming home, 1 month old, 2 months old etc. And then 1 year old up to 5 years old.

4. It has room for birthdays and lots of photo space.

5. It has a 'My Firsts' page that lists all things that are necessary as well as extra pages for personal 'firsts'

6. It's created by an Australian Mum, so it has Aussie wording/phrases.

7. It's never too late to start! I read today in the group that one lady started the baby book for her 8 year old.

8. Did I say it's in order?? hehe

and lucky last... it has an amazing Facebook Group that provides your with lots of other tips and tricks that fellow Blueberry Mama's post.

Documenting these amazing life memories doesn't stop there!

"I am so excited you decided to join us on this magical adventure that we like to call memory making. It’s so important to me that I’m able to help other families enjoy time with their kids and family members. I believe that we only get to live once and that life can change in a heartbeat (a bit more about that below), so enjoying the every day moments is a big part of our WHY at Blueberry Co.
A bit about us; My name is Chloe Watts. I’m the biz mama behind Blueberry Co. I started this business after I have my first child in 2015 and I couldn’t find a Baby Book that suited me and my style…. So I designed my own!
I’m trained as a Landscape Architect and during my maternity leave we had a series of tragedies in our family and honestly, it shook us to the bone. It really hit home for us that life is unpredictable, it can be long or short… and if you might as well enjoy today, because tomorrow may not come. So in 2017, as Blueberry Co grew, we decided to take the plunge and move to our dream home by the sea and add to our little family. In August 2017 we had a second baby girl… and let me tell you it’s been a crazy ride. I thought one child was crazy but no. 2 has raised the bar!
For us, our passions really manifest themselves in our biz baby Blueberry Co. Our memory books help you document the dizzying highs and crazy lows of parenting the tiny terrors we love so much: our kids! Our products allow you to dedicate as little or as much time as you want towards creating something super special for your child (and you) to look back on.
That’s it! That’s us! The Blueberry Co team!"

How much you choose to document and the way in which you do it is entirely up to you.

I'm not a story writer, I like to dot point the facts! I tried to stick with the same colours throughout, except for the front cover as I coloured it while pregnant and didn't know if I was having a boy or a girl.

Where possible, I try to find time each month to sit down and sort through my photos to select the ones I need. I like to make sure there is one as a family, one with each parent, sister and the grandparents and then some of activities or milestones achieved for the month.

If my daughter hits a milestone and I don't have time to pop it in the book, I write a note and put it inside my book case (a clear case I purchased from Kmart to protect it) so I can record it when I do have time.

This book is a fun way to preserve the precious memories of your children. Whenever I add to my book, I find myself sitting down and looking through the previous pages and remembering what these moments were like. She's still so little and the memories are still fresh, but it's still beautiful to look at.
